Looking to fill an empty space with something that matched the sophistication and Dallas spirit of the historic Statler, Unbranded and Downtown Dallas Inc. worked together to feature the unique Ora Et Labora. OETL is a Dallas-based company that offers finely selected globally sourced artisan goods specifically from the Argentinian and Italian markets. The owner, Gisela, goes around the globe to pick out each item by hand in an effort to share her unique Argentinian and Italian heritage to the Dallas area.
The Statler, downtown Dallas’ recently renovated gem of a hotel, continues to surprise us. Since its grand re-opening in October 2017, the hotel has announced plans for several new additions, from the all-day brunch spot Overeasy to a restaurant-meets-game-room called Scout.
As of February 5, the hotel now houses a globally-influenced pop-up shop. A collaboration with Unbranded, the pop-up offers free retail space for a curated group of artisans to display and sell their work. Unbranded, an innovative concept by Downtown Dallas Inc., also found success last holiday season with a winter marketplace in the historic Dallas Power & Light Building.
For the past four years, the Dallas pop-up shop has operated in vacant spaces during a three-week selling period spanning from the end of November to mid-December. Last week, Unbranded announced it was taking up a residence at The Statler marking its move into a year-round pop-up.
Matt Alexander and Bryan DeLuca launched Unbranded in 2014 to offer free, temporary retail space to entrepreneurs, designers, photographers, artists, chefs, and more during the holiday season. This past season, Downtown Dallas, Inc. took over operations of Unbranded.
Under new management, Unbranded will continue business year round. Rather than exhibiting multiple vendors at once, the new system allows a single brand to be featured exclusively for two months.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, pop-up market concept Unbranded is returning to Dallas to showcase a curated group of artisans, from painters to potters to jewelry designers. The historic Dallas Power & Light Building in downtown Dallas, once a vacant space, will come alive when it hosts the bazaar-like market this year. Pop in for one-stop holiday shopping, and enjoy complimentary gift-wrapping, music, happy hour cocktails, and more. Unbranded runs from November 30 to December 16 (Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 8pm).
Unbranded is opening for business for the fourth consecutive year. The coolest, most eclectic pop-up shop in downtown Dallas, Unbrandedprovides free retail space to a rotating assortment of local artists, designers, photographers and more.
Founded in 2014 by Matt Alexander and Bryan DeLuca, the pop-up is now under ownership of Downtown Dallas Inc (DDI) as part of DDI's Wanderland programming. The entrepreneurs founded Unbranded as a way to support shopping local.
Setting up shop in the historic Dallas Power & Light Building at 1508 Commerce Street beginning November 30, this year's festivities will include a complimentary gift-wrapping lounge, drinks, crafts and workshops.
Unbranded will open its three-week run Thursday in downtown Dallas. Each week will bring a new set of vendors from clothing and jewelry to dog treats and handmade leather goods.
Starting Thursday, a group of rotating entrepreneurs will be setting up shop in Downtown Dallas Inc.' Unbranded shop.
The temporary store this year is at 1508 Commerce St. in the old Dallas Power & Light building where Jos. A Bank had operated for several years until it closed recently.
Unbranded will be open Thursdays through Saturdays Nov. 30 through Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is the fourth year that Unbranded has opened for the holidays.
If you haven’t attended an Unbranded event, here is your chance as the popular pop up shop returns for its fourth consecutive year in downtown Dallas.
Yes, you heard right. One of Dallas most popular pop-up shops Unbranded is returning again this year. The Annual event is a retail and event experiment which provides creative free space to entrepreneurs, artists, photographers, chefs, and more. The event is moving to bigger space in downtown Dallas this year.
Its co-founders, Matt Alexander and Bryan DeLuca are excited to be bringing back Unbranded for the fourth consecutive year. Both will remain hands on with the selection of vendors along with some fan favorites from past years.
